What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. 

Apparently, my gym (Edge Body Bootcamp) caught me in a post workout ‘recovery state’. The picture looks like I’m calmly resting, but I was actually dying inside.   I felt like my lungs were bleeding and I was trying not to throw up or pass out. You can’t tell in the picture but I am pretty sure I was steaming.  In that recovery state, I always work through the same thought process in my head. Being comfortable doesn’t allow you to grow. The pain of a workout like that is what creates the momentum to change your physiology.  Changing your physiology is how you get better.  It is how you show up better every day.  In all aspects of your life. 

Complacent and comfortable is for the majority of society.  People that don’t want to put in the work to see true health changes. People that depend on an outside source to heal them – a medication, even a supplement.  I remember being told in school that we can’t medicate our way out of a chronic state that we behaved our way into.  

Consistency is also key. Having the discipline to do it over and over again. The concept of Amazon Prime has ruined society’s patience… by allowing people to be able to order anything they want and receive it on their doorstep in less than two days WITH free shipping?! But when it comes to health, what we have to teach you is ALL healing takes time.  ALL health changes take time.  Chronic means it has been with you for (in medical terms) greater than six months.  Do you think it’s going away in a couple weeks? There is no way to bypass the concept of time.  Period.  

Your body took a whole lot of effort and energy to break down, that same level of intensity needs to be applied to change your course and rebuild.  This is adaptability!  A chiropractic adjustment removes interference to your ‘adaptability system’ and then allows YOU to put in the work to rebuild.  

Honestly, you have NO IDEA how good you are meant to feel.  It is your health.  It is your choice.  Put in the work, even when you don’t want to.  Make the right choices. Fuel your body. Move your body.  ADAPT at the highest level you can by keeping a clear nervous system through chiropractic.
