Sometimes the phone call to our office just takes time… It takes day after day of struggling; of pain. Often times debilitating challenges that you pray day after day to go away. And day after day, it doesn’t change. Dawn’s story is no different. Her journey is one of courage and humbleness and took 6 months of symptoms before coming to see us – praying it would resolve. Someone who drives by 20 other chiropractors to get to our office and who arranges rides for each visit (due to her inability to drive). Someone determined to heal…
Dawn courageously shared her story on Facebook and tagged Dr. Bethany and I in the post. She had emailed us her story prior to and it brought us both to tears. We had to share it with you because we are so incredibly proud of her journey and we know you will be too.
“Meet our counter-top. I had a not so friendly head on collision with it a year ago & life got flipped upside-down. I’ve been silent about it, because well I just pressed through. I think “this is no biggie, so what I hit my head, what’s new”. (I have r.p. hitting my head is normal, it happens weekly) but this was new. I knocked myself out, suffering a major concussion that I didn’t take seriously. the physical repercussions that have spanned over the last year have been horrific.
I didn’t know my name, where I was, who you were, (though I know that I know that I know your name), not able to speak or think, insane non stop ringing in my ears, insomnia, bursts of anger & rage beyond my control – just to name a few. Some close friends have walked with me. Thank God for them & their prayers. Without them I wouldn’t be where I am today… because they led me to seek help & Restore Chiropractic Center became a weekly part of my life.
Here I am now, on the road to recovery. The majority of my symptoms have subsided, I still struggle with a few, but each day is better! Dr. Niki & Dr. Bethany, words do not do justice to my appreciation for what you’ve done for me & my family. You’ve given me my life back! Thank you, thank you, thank you! May the Lord bless you beyond measure.”
This still moves me as I read it over and over.
